Intake Interview/ Assessment

The trained and experienced Counsellors and or psychotherapists will interview you and assess your problem. The professional would give feedback based on the intake interview. The client will be helped to understand the problem areas or stressors like poor self-esteem, relationship issues, lack of communication skills, and so on. The clinician also provides clinical diagnoses like anxiety, depression, mood disorders, eating disorders, compulsions, schizophrenia, and personality disorders to name a few if present.

Based on the client’s problem the professional would help them to understand the therapy options available, their duration, and the number of sessions needed. If the client’s problem is in the Therapist’s expertise, the therapist would continue with the client, otherwise, the client will be referred to another therapist who is an expert in that area.

Infertility, bereavement, work-related stress, and relationship issues are a few of the problems that require counselling. Acceptance of Alternative sexual identity and orientation can be supported and facilitated by counselling. Counselling would bring clarity to your thought process and help you to cope with your life problems in a healthy manner. It can also be skill-building sessions like relationship skills, assertive communication, problem-solving, and decision-making.

Psycho-education

It is the process of educating, and informing the clients with mental health issues and their family members about the nature of the illnesses. It includes causes or factors for the illness, common signs and symptoms, awareness regarding the early signs of relapse and recurrence, coping with the situation, kinds of treatment options available, when and how to seek treatment, need for adherence to treatment as per the treating team, long term course and outcome, do's and don’ts for family members while dealing with the client and learning myths and misconception about the illness and dispelling stigma.

When the client is diagnosed with a mental health problem like Generalised anxiety disorder, depressive disorder, bipolar disorder etc, he or she is advised to undergo psychotherapy with or without medication. Psychotherapies include Behavioral therapy, cognitive behaviour therapy, cognitive therapy, humanistic therapy, psychoanalytic therapy, transactional analysis, insight-oriented therapy, systemic therapy, and expressive therapy to name a few.

School Student Counselling

This service is for school students of any gender. It is a one-to-one session with the students on life skills and behaviour management-based interventions for general anxiety, exam anxiety, memory, time management, and other academic-related skill developments

University Students Psychotherapy

This service is for university students of any gender. Therapy focuses either on general mental health-related issues or on academic-related as well. The session addresses anxiety, panic attacks, depression, self-harming, and compulsive behaviours.

Obesity & Eating Disorders Management-Intake session

This service deals with obesity and a wide range of eating disorders, namely anorexia, bulimia, binge eating, compulsive eating, night eating disorder, and orthorexia. The intake or the assessment requires 3 hours which can be booked as a single sitting or split into two or more sittings based on client convenience.

It is advisable to undergo the 3 hours intake session before the psychotherapy session to enjoy the benefits of the course. However, if the client prefers, they can book 50 min session to undergo traditionally, and new-wave therapies, including CBT, CBT-E, CEBIT, NLP, EFT, AAT (appetite), and TA meant for obesity and eating disorders.

Clinical Assessments & Psychometrics

Psycho-educational assessments help to understand a child's cognitive abilities and academic skills. In addition, these assessments help to identify and diagnose a school-going child with a specific learning disability, attention deficit hyperactive disorder (ADHD), development disorders, intellectual disability, autism, and pervasive development disorder. It also helps to identify social, emotional, behavioural, and psychological stressors like parental neglect, domestic violence, sexual abuse, and cultural changes.

The consultant will understand the child's learning style by gathering qualitative information from the parents and school teachers. These assessments determine the child's strengths and weaknesses, and giftedness.

Psycho-educational and assessment could help in early educational planning, individualized educational planning, intervention, and support.

And treating the individual with appropriate intervention. Individual therapy, couples therapy, family therapy, and group therapy are the different psychotherapeutic services provided by the centre.

Report Review on assessments

You can send your assessment report or your child's assessment report to get an expert review and further treatment plan. It is a second opinion where you can clarify all your concerns related to your child's progress in terms of behavioural, educational, speech, and motor skills improvement.
